Marshalltown Community College freshman catcher Paige Westlin from Eldridge, IA has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for the week of April 4-10.

Westlin burst onto the scene last week after a wonderful performance at the plate. Stepping to the plate 27 times in eight games, she reached base 17 times, 16 of them for hits and an average of .593.

In the two games against Iowa Central, she went 5 for 7 with two home runs and three RBI. Westlin followed that up hitting 8 for 12 with three home runs, three doubles, and eight RBI's in the four game Iowa Western series. Last week she more than doubled her season hit total.
