The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) has announced its Academic All-Region teams for the fall semester, and Marshalltown Community College was well represented. 61 student-athletes, including 31 on the first team, across six sports earned recognition from the region for their success in the classroom.
Academic All-Region requirements consist of maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or better for first team honors and a grade point average between 3.0 and 3.49 for second team honors.
The baseball team placed 22 players on the team, including 12 on the first team. The volleyball team had six selections with two on the first team. The women's basketball team had three players represent the first team and one on the second team while the men's basketball team placed one player on the first team and five on the second team. The men's soccer team earned 16 selections, including five members on the first team. The softball team placed two players on the first team and five on the second team.
