The Marshalltown Community College softball program has landed another top recruit for the 2018 season, signing Kylie Swan to a National Letter of Intent. The Tigers have now inked three players for next season.

Swan, a native of Gardnerville, NV, attends Douglas High School where she was a Second-Team All-Region Northern Nevada Division I selection in 2016 as a junior. Swan was chosen as the utility selection after a strong season at both catcher and third base.

MCC head coach Garland Shirley noted Swan's presence on the diamond as a primary factor that will impact the Tigers next season. "We think Kylie will really bring us some leadership and defensive experience," Shirley stated. "I have been following Kylie for a few years and knew when I frst saw her play that she could be a difference maker for us right away."

The daughter of Kellie and Don, Swan is also a member of the Hotshots travel team where she was teammates with current Tiger Shaena Robinson, also a native of Gardnerville, NV who will suit up for MCC this season.

Swan joins Ariana Ulibarri and Anika Matsumoto to sign with the Tigers for the 2017-18 season.
