Tigers tamed at home against No. 6 Indian Hills

Marshalltown, IA—The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team dropped its final regular season Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) contest of the year, falling at home to No. 6 Indian Hills Community College in straight sets.

The Tigers held early leads in each of the first two sets, but the Warriors proved to be too much on both sides of the ball for MCC. Indian Hills took all three sets by scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-15.

Sophomore Jordan Carter (Sigourney, IA/Sigourney) led all MCC attackers with seven kills on 23 attempts. Freshman Sara Bisbe (Barcelona, Spain/CV Saint Cugat) added six kills and eight digs and DaNesha Cowley (Waterloo, IA/Waterloo West) posted four kills.

MCC finishes its four-game home-stand on Thursday night with a 7:30 PM match against William Penn JV. The Tigers won the previous matchup at William Penn 3-0 on Oct. 13.

Thursday's match will be part of Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night at the Student Activity Center.
