Sophomore DaNesha Cowley (Waterloo, IA/Waterloo West) has signed to play volleyball at Robert Morris University in Chicago next season. Cowley wrapped up her playing career at MCC in the fall.

"Robert Morris is close enough to home," the Waterloo native state following her signing, "and being an NAIA school, I'll be able to play against teams in Iowa throughout the year. Robert Morris is a really good program with a good coach. I'm looking forward to joining the team."

Robert Morris, located in Chicago, IL are members of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Eagles are coached by Jess Gregory.

Cowley appeared in all 59 matches throughout her career as a Tiger and led MCC in blocks in each season. The middle hitter finished her tenure with 101 total blocks to go along with 320 kills.

"Marshalltown definitely helped me get my feet wet and prepared me for what's next. I feel ready for the next step thanks to MCC. Coming to a two-year school before jumping right into a four-year school allowed me to develop as a student-athlete."

Cowley becomes the second member of the Tiger volleyball team to commit to a four-year school, joining Jordan Carter (Sigourney, IA/Sigourney) who has signed to play at William Penn University.
