Academic All-Americans

Marshalltown, IA - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced its Academic All-Americans. Marshalltown Community College (MCC) had twenty-two student athletes make the cut in 2018. To receive a Third Team All-American honor student-athletes needed to earn a 3.6-3.79, to earn a Second Team nod students-athletes needed a 3.8-3.99, and to earn First Team All-American honors student athletes needed to earn a 4.0.

MCC had twenty-two athletes, representing five of the six athletic teams on campus. The men's soccer team led the way for the Tigers, with five Second Team All-Americans and four Third Team All-Americans. The Men's Soccer team was honored as the "Academic Team of the Year" earning a 3.31 GPA. To receive this honor an athletic team must collectively earn a GPA over 3.0. As a department, MCC athletics earned two First Team All-Americans, eight Second Team All-Americans, and twelve Third Team All-Americans. Below is the list of MCC student-athletes to receive All-American honors by sport.
