2017 Marshalltown Community College Baseball Schedule               Season Tickets

The Marshalltown Community College baseball team, fresh off of its best season in school history, has announced its 2017 schedule. The 56-game slate features 21 home games at Shawn Williams Field.

The Tigers open up the season with its annual east coast trip in February. MCC will take on Roane State Community College, a team MCC last played in 2014. The Tigers will also take on the likes of Motlow State Community College and Guilford Technical Community College, a team the Tigers are 7-4 against since the 2013 season.

MCC will also travel to a familiar non-region opponent to open up the month of March as the Tigers travel to Crowder College for a four-game set March 11-12. MCC snapped a nine-game losing streak to the nationally ranked Roughriders last season with a four-game split. 

The home portion of the schedule begins on March 18-19 with a four-game series against Milwaukee Area Technical College. MCC also welcomes Kirkwood Community College to Shawn Williams Field for a doubleheader on March 22 before closing out the nonconference schedule with a single game at Southeastern Community College on March 29.

Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) play begins the first weekend of April against the newest addition to the league as Southwestern Community College makes the transition from NJCAA Division II to NJCAA Division I. The Tigers and Spartans will square off for a four-game series April 1-2 in Creston, IA.

After a four-game conference series at Indian Hills Community College on April 8-9, the Tigers make their home conference debut April 15-16 against Iowa Western Community College. Along with a home game against Southeastern on April 18 and four games against Southwestern on April 22-23, the Tigers will play nine home games in a 10-game stretch. The team's final home conference series against Indian Hills Community College will take place on April 29-30.

The Tigers' final series of the regular season will send MCC on the road to Council Bluffs, IA to take on Iowa Western May 6-7.

Other notable contest include home-and-away single nine-inning games against both Ellsworth Community College and Iowa Central Community College throughout the year.

This year's Region XI postseason tournament will be held from May 12-14 at Indian Hills in Centerville, IA. The NJCAA Northern District Tournament will be hosted by the Region 24 champion while the 2017 NJCAA World Series will be held in its annual location, Grand Junction, CO.
