Former Marshalltown Community College basketball standout Will Clyburn will return to the MCC campus to host the first-ever Will Clyburn Basketball Camp from June 9-12. The camp will be held at the Student Activity Center on the campus of MCC.

The camp will be held in two sessions. The opening session will be for boys and girls in grades 7-9 and will run from 8:00 AM- 12:00 PM each day. The second session will be held from 1:00 PM- 5:00 PM for boys and girls in grades 3-6.

Campers will receive individual skill assessments along with group and team instruction from Clyburn and the MCC coaching staff. Campers will receive a dri-fit t-shirt, custom-made MCC logo socks, and a water bottle to receive free Gatorade throughout the camp.

The cost of the camp is $110 and is open to the first 50 registrants. Financial scholarship assistance is available on a first-come basis.

Clyburn spent two years at MCC where he was a first-team All-ICCAC and First-Team All-Region XI selection. Following his stint as a Tiger, Clyburn spent one year at the University of Utah where he was a second-team All-Mountain West selection. Clyburn spent his final year of collegiate basketball at Iowa State where he was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year after leading the Cyclones in scoring.

Clyburn has since signed a professional contract and is currently playing for Ratiopharm Ulm of the Bundesliga Basketball League in Germany. Clyburn participated in this year's BBL Beko Basketball Dunk Contest.
