Tiger men tackle Mount Mercy JV in home opener

Four players scored in double figures as the Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team prevailed over the Mount Mercy JV, winning 105-72 inside the Student Activity Center on Tuesday night.
 
Justice Small scored a game-high 20 points to lead MCC (2-0), which jumped out to a 50-36 halftime lead. DJ Hamilton and Jayden Hill added 17 points apiece, and Ahmed Ibrahim contributed 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.
 
Antwan Bridgett pitched in with nine points and six assists, and Richard Udoagwa added eight points and a team-high nine boards.
 
The Tigers shot 55.3 percent from the field and outrebounded the Mustangs 40-28.
