Struggles Continue in New Orleans

The MCC baseball team packed their bags and headed to New Orleans for spring break. While enjoying the warmer weather, they took on Delgado Community College in a three game series on Sunday and Monday. The Tigers dropped all three games of the series, falling 15-0, 8-0, and 11-1.

The Tigers struggled at the plate all weekend long, recording just 13 hits as a team. Marving Serrano led the Tigers at the plate, going 4-9 on the weekend. Nick Hagen provided the lone offensive highlight, smashing a homerun over the left field fence on Monday afternoon.

The Tigers will look to get their first win of the season on Wednesday, March 14 when they travel to Wesson, Mississippi to take on the 10-2 Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Thursday the Tigers start their trip back to Marshalltown, stopping in St. Louis for a triangular with Milwaukee Area Technical College and St. Louis Community College on Saturday beginning at 1:30 PM and again on Sunday starting at 11:00 PM.
