2017 NJCAA Region XI Tournament Bracket

The Marshalltown Community College women's basketball team travels to Northeast Community College at 5:00 PM Wednesday night for the opening round of the 2017 NJCAA Region XI Tournament.

The Tigers enter postseason play as the No. 3 seed with an 11-17 overall record and will square off with the second-seeded Hawks in Norfolk, NE. Northeast boasts a 26-3 record and are currently receiving votes in the latest NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball poll.

Northeast won both meetings with MCC this year, taking a 102-46 decision in Norfolk on Jan. 28 before dropping the Tigers 71-50 on Feb. 25 at the Student Activity Center.

The MCC offense is led by Estelle Eduardo (Villeurbanne, France/Lycee Ernest Couteaux) who is averaging 12.6 points per game which ranks third in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC). Loralei Siliga (Euless, TX/San Leandro) ranks fourth in the league at 11.9 while Alyssa Roth (Clinton, IA/Northeast) is averaging 10.0 points per game.

Freshman Claudia Morente (Girona, Spain/Institut Juame Vicens Vives) has paced the Tiger offense from the point guard position, leading the team with 3.7 assists per game while averaging 8.8 points per contest.

The Hawks have been led by Maddie Egr's 13.8 points per game and Mykala Baylor's 13.6 points per game which ranks first and second in the conference.
