The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has selected Loralei Siliga as the Division I Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week from November 13-19th. During that week, the Tigers played Southeastern Community College, Central Community College, and Moberly Area Community College. Siliga was a dominant force each game as she scored a combined 64 points while shooting 45% from the field and the three point line. Along with efficient shooting Siliga also grabbed 28 rebounds.
"Lei has been stepping up in the leadership category, and a bulk of that has been more scoring and increased rebounding responsibilities," stated Head Coach Steve Garber. "She has shown more consistency and really leads the team when it comes to our attempts to succeed."
Siliga has seen double-digit point totals six times this season as she is averaging 19 points per game and nearly nine rebounds per game. Siliga and the rest of the women's basketball team will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Boone Iowa to take on the Bears of DMACC.
