The Marshalltown Community College athletic department is pleased to announce that Loralei Siliga has been named MCC's Female Athlete of the Month. During the month of February Siliga totaled 122 points averaging 17.4 points per game. Siliga's been a consistent presence on defense all season long grabbing 6.2 rebounds a game and 28 total steals. The sophomore standout finished her final season shooting 43% from the field
The women's basketball team's season came to an end Wednesday night when they fell to the Hawks of Northeast Community College in the first round of the Region XI Women's Basketball Tournament. The 5'10 forward has been highly recruited this season, with multiple NAIA, NCAA DII, and NCAA DI offers. Siliga is unsure where she will go.
