Head Women's Basketball Coach Steve Garber has signed Randi Walters to a Letter of Intent for the 2018 school year. Walters is a 5'8 guard from Newton High School that will bring a unique skill set to the women's basketball team next season.
"Randi has flexibility to play at the guard position as a shooter and a driver," stated Head Coach Steve Garber. "Her athleticism allows her to learn multiple basketball skills that will add to her creativity as a player. She can run the floor well and will give us some defensive skills to be aggressive on that side of the floor".
As a senior, Walters has averaged over 12 points a game while shooting 37% from the field and 73% from the free throw line. Walters will be in action Wednesday night as the Newton Varsity basketball team travels to Grimes, Iowa to take on DCG at 6:15 PM.
