Loralei Siliga Named MCC's Female Athlete of the Month
The Marshalltown Community College athletic department is pleased to announce Loralei Siliga has been named MCC’s Female Athlete of the Month for December.
The Marshalltown Community College athletic department is pleased to announce Loralei Siliga has been named MCC's Female Athlete of the Month for December. Siliga played in five games in the shortened month. The lack of games did not stop Siliga from putting up big numbers as she racked up 75 points, 30 rebounds and 13 assists. The month was highlighted by back-to-back games that saw Siliga score 27 and 26 points respectively.
"Loralei has consistently played well thus far this season, she works hard and we look forward to seeing what she can do the rest of the season," stated Head Coach Steve Garber.
The women's basketball team will be back in action Wednesday, January 10 when they travel to Iowa Falls, Iowa to take on Ellsworth Community College. In the last match up with the Panthers, Siliga dominated the game from start to finish recording 31 points while shooting 68% from the field.
