MCC's Loralei Siliga has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week. Last week Siliga and the rest of the Tiger women's basketball team hosted the Bears of Des Moines Area Community College. While the Tigers lost to the Bears 65-55, Siliga played one of her best games of the season, going 10-18 from the field for 26 points. The All-American hopeful also grabbed 11 rebounds, recording her eighth double double of the season.  

Siliga and the rest of the MCC women's basketball team will be back in action Thursday, February 15 when the host the Grand View JV squad for the teams Sophomore Night. Thursday will be the last chance to watch the women's basketball team at home. Celebrating Sophomore Night, there will be announcements of the sophomore class prior to the 6:00 tip off.
