The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) announced the All-Region selections for Division I basketball Tuesday afternoon. Marshalltown Community College's Claudia Morente was named All-Region Honorable Mention. An All-Region selection a season ago, Morente continued her solid play into her sophomore season recording 9.4 points per game.

"Claudia started the season off hampered by some nagging injuries," stated Head Coach Steve Garber. "In the second semester, she came back stronger and played like the All-Region player she was last year. She was a leader for the last two years as our point guard and was invaluable as a competitor day in and day out."

The Girona, Spain native played a critical role in the Tiger offense, scoring 281 point this season. Her ability to call the offense and get the ball in the hands of scorers was on display all year long as she recorded 98 assists this season and 203 in her career. The 5'5 guard plans to continue her playing career next year, but is unsure where she wants to go.
