The Marshalltown Community College Athletic Department is pleased to announce Mohamed Thiam has been named MCC's Male Athlete of the Month for November. Mohamed is a sophomore forward on the men's basketball team. In the first month of regular season play Thiam has averaged 20.6 points per game while bringing in 9.7 rebounds per game. He has recorded five double-doubles thus far this season.

"Mo has been a great asset to this team and has been a key factor in the success we have seen so far this season," stated Head Coach Brynjar Brynjarsson. "He has an incredible work ethic that can be contagious. He is a great athlete and hopefully he continues to play at the same level for the rest of the season."

You can get a chance to watch the November Male Athlete of the Month and the rest of the men's basketball team at their next home game Tuesday, December 5 when they take on State Fair Community College in the Student Activity Center at 7:00.
