For the third time this season, MCC's Mohamed Thiam has been selected as the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference's Athlete of the Week. Last week the Tigers played two games, defeating the Tritons of Iowa Central Community College 91-84 and fell to the Warriors of Indian Hills Community College 74-69. The sophomore forward scored 60 points last week while bringing down 23 rebounds.

"Mo's (Mohamed Thiam) hard work and dedication to his game separates him from everyone else," stated Head Coach Brynjar Bryjarsson. "He's the guy that puts in the extra work when nobody is looking so his success has been truly earned."

Thiam and the rest of the MCC men's basketball team get a short break before traveling to Sedalia, Missouri to take on the Roadrunners of State Fair Community College on February 20. The Roadrunners of State Fair currently sit at 17-7 on the season after losing their last two games to Three Rivers Community College and Iowa Western Community College.
