Marshalltown Community College soccer player Gustavo Leal from Rio de Janerio, Brazil has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 30 – Oct. 6.

The Tigers went 2-0 last week with wins over Scott (15-0) and Northeast (6-0). Leal was a big defensive presence for the Tigers keeping both teams scoreless. He also added two goals on four shots from his defensive position.

Leal has three goals and one assist in the 2019 season for the Tigers including two game winning goals.
