The MCC Tiger baseball team hosted Northeastern Community College, in a four game weekend series on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3.
The Tigers scored early in game one but it wasn't enough to fend off the Hawks in a 5-3 loss. Gage Juhlin went 1-3 with two RBI's and Jackson Stephen pitched seven innings with six strikeouts.
It was an offensive day for both sides in game two, resulting in a combined 33 hits in a high scoring victory for the Hawks 30-13. The Tigers had four hitters with multi-hit games and 13 runs scored. Josh Ironside took the loss on the day.
Tigers lost a close 5-3 game with the Hawks in game three. Two runs in the top of the 7th pushed the Warriors ahead. Joel Suraganan went 1-3 with two RBI's on the day. Edwin De Los Santos Moreno pitched six innings with nine strikeouts.
Tigers 10 runs wasn't enough to top the Warriors in game four with the Tigers falling in a high scoring 20-10 loss. Ernesto Moreno Jr went 3-4 with one RBI and Juhlin and Brock Stewart both has two RBI's. Tom Leathem took the loss while only pitching three innings.
