Tigers drop two in the midweek

Marshalltown Community College baseball dropped two games to DMACC on Tuesday, April 6.

The Tigers struggled in game one to get some offensive production going while the Bears had eight runs on seven hits and took the win 8-0. The pitching staff had 11 strikeouts while Nolan Vlcek lead the way with eight.

Four early runs for the Tigers in the first four innings in game two of the series wasn't enough to hold off the Bears. Jackson Stephen and Bryan Morales combined for four RBI's and two home runs. Sam Tyrpa pitched six innings with seven strikeouts. A late surge by the Bears put them ahead with a final 18-6 victory for DMACC.
