Baseball moves weekend series to Iowa Western

The Marshalltown Community College Baseball team has moved this weekend's home Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) series against Iowa Western Community College to Council Bluffs, IA, home of the Reivers, due to impending weather.

Originally scheduled for a four-game series at Shawn Williams Field on Saturday and Sunday, the Tigers will now head to Doc Ross Field on the Iowa Western campus where temperatures look to reach 70 degrees.

With the schedule shift, the two sides will now play its four-game series on April 30-May 1, originally scheduled to be played at Iowa Western, back to Marshalltown.

First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is set for 1:00 PM while Sunday's twinbill is scheduled for 12:00 PM.

The Reivers and Tigers are both tied for first-place in the ICCAC with 3-1 league marks. Iowa Western currently holds a 24-9 overall record while MCC sits at 18-8, having won eight of the team's last nine contests.
