With Waldorf leading 25-24, Mike Rodriguez (Boston, MA/Redemption Christian Academy) intercepted a pass at midcourt and laid in the fast break bucket to give the Tigers their first lead of the night. MCC built on the lead and went into halftime with a 42-31 advantage.

The Tigers post play proved to be its focal point in the second half as the first 14 MCC points came in the paint, capped by a fast break dunk from Jamal Gatali (Toronto, ONT/Downsview). The MCC defense held its opponent to just six points in the final six minutes to take the win and move above the .500 mark on the year.

Gatali grabbed six rebounds to go with six assists, four steals, and four blocks to stuff the stat sheet while Cunningham grabbed eight rebounds.

The Tiger defense held the Warriors to just 5-23 shooting from three-point range and 36.9 percent shooting overall. Over the team's last six games, MCC is holding its opponents to just 24.0 percent (24-100) from three-point range.
