Tiger men lose rubber match with Lakers

The Marshalltown Community College Men's Basketball team welcomed Iowa Lakes to Marshalltown on Saturday, March 20 and would ultimately end up losing 75 to 65 dropping the Tigers record to 8 and 7 on the season, after ending their losing streak Wednesday against Iowa Western.

The Tigers didn't seem to have the answers for the Lakers approach of going inside out in the first half finding themselves down 46 to 33 at the half. They would find themselves down 17 at one point in the second half before storming back to get the lead down to 4. Untimely the Lakers would pull away and win against the Tigers for the second time this season.

David Roberts Jr. led the Tigers in scoring with 13 points. Di'Ablo Stewart and Zyan Gilmore finished with 12 points each with Stewart adding 3 assists and Gilmore adding 2 steals as well. Ike Sheppard scored in double figured with 11 points.

The Tigers travel to Cedar Rapids on Wednesday, March 24th to take on the #18th ranked Kirkwood Eagles. The Tigers lost the first matchup on March 3rd 60 to 59 in Marshalltown.
