Marshalltown Community College basketball sophomore guard Deon'ta Lagway from Houston, TX has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for the week of March 22-28. 

The MCC Tigers have been led all year by Lagway, and last week he continued to do so. In the two games MCC played, he averaged 17 points and 8.5 rebounds. Lagway had a 20-point double-double in the win over Northeast on Saturday, March 27. 

He shot an efficient 67% from the field in both games (12-18). The forward is no stranger to filling up the stat sheet as he is the seventh leading scorer averaging 16 points per game and second leading rebounder averaging eight per game in the conference this year.
