Cedar Rapids, IA—An early deficit paired with an efficient shooting night from the opposition overwhelmed the Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team as the Tigers fell 100-80 to Kirkwood Community College on Wednesday night. Sophomore Reggie Gradwell (Marshalltown, IA/West Marshall) led MCC with 13 points.
The Eagles connected on five of their first six shots, including a pair of three pointers to jump out to a 14-0 lead at the start of the game. The deficit stayed in double-digits for the remainder of the night for the Tigers.
Gradwell went 5-9 from the field and hit three three-point shots to pace MCC offensively. Floyd Preito (Philadelphia, PA/Constitution) scored 12 second half points and Juan Coffi (Barcelona, Spain/Canarias) added 12 as well.
