Marshalltown, IA—Five players scored in double-figures for the Marshalltown Community College men's basketball varsity reserve team on Sunday afternoon, but the Tigers fell at home to Mount Mercy JV 107-72.

Freshman Treatmont Ruot (Des Moines, IA/East) led the Tigers with 21 points on 10-17 shooting to go along with five steals. Sophomore Jonas Perkis (Trondheim, Norway/Charlottenlund VGS) recorded a double-double for MCC, scoring 10 points and grabbing a team-high 12 rebounds. Ashton Miller (Madison, WI/La Follette) added 14 points while Cortez Pinks (Des Moines, IA/East) chipped in 13.

Tony Smith (Marshalltown, IA/Marshalltown) hit three three-point shots and finished the day with 11 points. Brian Patterson (Lake Station, IN/Lake Station) filled the stat sheet with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three points.

The Tigers shot a respectable 45.5 percent (30-66) from the floor and knocked down a total of seven three-point shots.

Sunday's game marked the season finale for the varsity reserve squad as the Tigers went 5-4 in the team's inaugural season.
