The Marshalltown Community College Skill Development Academy will be hosted by the MCC men's basketball team this summer, featuring two different sessions that span three weeks each. The academy will be held at the Student Activity Center on the MCC campus.
The first summer session will from June 12-29 and the second session will take place from July 10-27. Each session consists of three days each week- Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The camp is open for both boys and girls in grades 1st-12th
"This is a great opportunity for kids of all ages to come out and hone their skills during the summer time," stated MCC head coach Brynjar Brynjarsson. "Summer is a time where the kids can really focus on becoming better players, and our three-week sessions will help the campers understand the game better while improving their skills on the court."
Campers will be separated into their respective age group to ensure a maximum learning experience. In all, campers will receive nine hour-long sessions throughout the three-week period.

Cost for each session is $100/camper and $180 to sign up for both camps. Each camper will receive individual and team instruction from members of the men's basketball coaching staff and players. Each camper will also receive an official MCC Skill Development Academy t-shirt and shorts.
