Former Marshalltown Community College Men's Basketball players have always been prevalent in their post-playing careers following their stints with the Tigers. Will Clyburn and Chris Caird have been true testaments to that statement since their departure at MCC.

Following a successful two-year career at MCC along with a standout tenure with the Iowa State Cyclones, Clyburn has found success overseas. The 25-year old forward was recently named Eurobaket.com Player of the Week after scoring 31 points for his Hapoel Holon team. Hapoel Holon plays in the top division of Israeli basketball.

Along with Clyburn's 31 points, he added nine rebounds and three assists to help defeat Maccabi Ashdod 98-80. The former Tiger is leading the Israeli league with 20.8 points per game in his first season with the team while shooting 51.2 percent from the field. Clyburn also ranks sixth in rebounds with 8.0 per contest.

A two-time All-Region XI selection at MCC, Clyburn began his professional playing career in Germany for Ratiopharm Ulm before heading off to Israel this season

Caird, a two-year standout at MCC, recently signed a two-year contract with Tindastoll in Iceland of the Dominos League. An academic and athletic All-Region XI selection while at MCC, Caird has been a force in Iceland since he signed his first professional contract on June 21, 2015. Caird spent last season playing for FSU Selfoss, also in Iceland.

Caird ranked second on the FSU Selfoss team with 19.4 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game. The former Tiger will be joining Tindastoll who went 17-12 in 2015-16 and concluded their season on April 12.
