Tigers in the Pros

Former Marshalltown Community College men's basketball players have consistently been found in the professional ranks over the years, and the 2014-15 season includes many alumni. International leagues have begun their seasons with former Tigers on their rosters.

Will Clyburn (2008-2010) begins his second year with Ratiopharm Ulm of the Basketball Bundesliga, the major German professional league. Die Spatzen (the Sparrows) have already played two games to open up the season and Clyburn has been a primary contributor. The former Tiger and Iowa State University graduate, Clyburn scored 22 points to go along with eight rebounds in the team's opening game. Clyburn added four points and five rebounds in the team's second game of the season.

In 2013-14, Clyburn appeared in 18 games, averaging 8.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 22.1 minutes of action.

Former MCC All-American Tyler Brown (2009-2011) enters his first season with Ourense Termal of the LEB Oro league in Spain. In the team's first game of the season on Oct. 3, Brown played 16 minutes, grabbing two rebounds and adding an assist. Brown played for Cholet Basket (France) during the 2013-14 season.

Other Tigers that are currently listed on professional rosters overseas include Carlos Figueroa (2007-2009) on Leonces de Ponce in Puerto Rico, Jiri Hubalek (2004-2005) on Ali Hilal in Saudi Arabia, Henrique Medeiros (2009-2011) on Joinville in Brazil, and Marquis Navarre of the Latrobe Demons in Australia.
