The Opening Tip

  • MCC (19-12, 0-9) travels to Ottumwa, IA to face top-seeded and No. 13 ranked Indian Hills Community College (26-4, 7-1) in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Division I Region XI Tournament
  • The Tigers are fresh off an opening round 75-72 victory over fourth-seeded Southeastern Community College on Monday night. Terence Shelby Jr. (Peoria, IL/Limestone) drained a three-point shot in the final minute and Merdic Green (Levittown, PA/Harry S. Truman) posted a double-double to lead the Tigers to the upset.
  • Indian Hills will be making its postseason opener and will play as the top seed for the fourth consecutive season.

Last Time Out

  • The Tigers fell to the Warriors 106-93 on Jan. 31 at the Hellyer Center, but fell by just one point, 86-85 at home on Jan. 14. 
  • The Warriors ended the Tigers season in the 2014 Region XI Tournament with a 133-80 victory in Ottumwa.
  • The Tigers have dropped their last five games against the Warriors with their last win coming at Indian Hills with a 88-78 victory on Feb. 23, 2013
