Three players from the Marshalltown Community College baseball team have been named to the All-Region XI squad after leading the Tigers to their first-ever NJCAA Northern District Tournament appearance.  Daryl Blaskovich (Brentwood Bay, BC/Lambrick Park) and Ty Russell (Victoria, BC/Lambrick Park) were named to the second-team while Bennett Mann (Marshalltown, IA/Marshalltown) earned Honorable Mention status.

Russell earned his second consecutive All-Region selection after the sophomore was named to the first-team during his freshman campaign. The team's primary first baseman eclipsed the .300 batting average plateau for the second straight year, finishing with a .317 mark in 2014, the second-highest on the team. Russell also ranked second on the team with eight home runs and led the Tigers with 37 RBI and 37 walks.

Blaskovich was named to the second-team for the second straight year after leading the Tigers with a .325 batting average on the year. The sophomore shortstop collected nine hits in his final four postseason games to reach the 100 career hit milestone, finishing with 105 over his two seasons at MCC. Blaskovich led the team with  14 doubles and connected on five home runs on the year and finished second with 35 runs scored.

After recording just 20 hits during his freshman season, Mann more than doubled his production during his final year as a Tiger. The left fielder led the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) with 14 home runs, including three multi-home run games. Mann led the Tigers with 100 total bases and ranked second with 36 RBI. Mann also led the Tigers with 36 runs.

The three players combined for more than 40 percent of the team's run production on the year as the Tigers finished as runners-up at the Region XI Divison I Tournament for the second straight year, allowing them to advance to the program's first-ever district tournament appearance.

The Tigers have now placed at least three players on the All-Region squad in nine consecutive years and have at least one repeat selection in each of those seasons.
