The Marshalltown Community College men's basketball team will host the MCC Summer Shootout on July 8. The tournament will be hosted across a variety of facilities throughout the Marshalltown and surrounding areas, including the Student Activity Center.

The day-long tournament is open to both boys and girls teams in grades 3-12th with a wide variety of competition. The tournament will feature some of the top area high school and AAU teams from across Iowa.

"This is a great opportunity for teams to get out during the offseason and test their skills," stated MCC head coach Brynjar Brynjarsson. "We've had some great tournaments over the last few years featuring teams from across Iowa. We want to be able to provide an opportunity for these teams to get out during the summer and get ready for the upcoming season."

Registration for a single team is $150. Registration for two teams is $275 and for three or more teams, the cost is $125 per team. Each team is guaranteed three games with certified officials.
