2014-15 MCC Women's Basketball Schedule

The 2014-15 season will begin a new era for the Marshalltown Community College women's basketball team as the Tigers enter the year as a NJCAA Division I program for the first time in school history. The Tigers will host 13 games at the Student Activity Center.

The Tigers will join Iowa Western Community College and Northeast Community College in the Division I Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) for the upcoming year. The Tigers will play a home-and-home series with each opponent.

The 2014-15 season tips off in Moberly, MO on Nov. 7-8 as the Tigers play in the Moberly Tournament, taking on St. Louis Community College and host Moberly Area Community College.

The home opener for the Tigers will take place on Nov. 11 when the newest Division II member of the ICCAC, Little Priest Tribal College, visits the Student Activity Center as part of a doubleheader with the men's team.

The Emerson JUCO Classic returns to MCC on Nov. 21-22. The four-team tournament will see the Tigers take on Highland Community College (IL) at 7:00 PM on Friday and Mineral Area College at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Des Moines Area Community College will be the fourth participant in the classic.

Other home dates for the Tigers in the first half of the season features Ellsworth Community College at 5:30 PM on Nov. 25 and against Southwestern Community College at 5:30 PM on Dec. 1. Both games will play as doubleheaders with the men's team. The Tigers close out the first half of the season with three straight road games.

Following a road game at DMACC on Jan. 3, MCC hosts three straight non-conference opponents at home- Kirkwood Community College, Grand View JV, and MCC-Penn Valley, before opening up conference play at the Student Activity Center on Jan. 17 against Iowa Western.

The Tigers will travel to Northeast on Jan. 21 for the team's first conference road game of the year. The game marks a week-long stretch that will see the Tigers play four opponents in three states. MCC's final ICCAC contest will be played at Iowa Western on Feb. 7.

MCC will host four home games in the final three weeks of the regular season, including Northeast at 5:00 PM on Feb. 14, a doubleheader with the men's team. The Tigers close out the regular season at Grand View JV on Feb. 19.

The Region XI Tournament will take place on Feb. 25 and Feb. 28.
