The Opening Tip
- The Tigers (17-13, 1-3) make their first-ever postseason appearance as a Region XI Division I member, taking on second-seeded and No. 21 ranked Iowa Western (27-3, 2-2).
- MCC is 8-6 on the road this year while the Reivers are 16-1 inside Kanesville Arena.
- The Tigers closed out the regular season with back-to-back wins while Iowa Western has rattled off six straight wins after dropping two in a row.
Last Time Out
- Both regular season meetings between the teams were two different stories- the Tigers upset then-undefeated and No. 4 Iowa Western at the Student Activity Center 59-41 before the Reivers trounced MCC 64-45 on Feb. 7
- The Tigers held the Reivers to just 14 first half points to stun Iowa Western and capture their first-ever Region XI conference game.
- In Council Bluffs, the Tigers trailed by just three at halftime, but the Reivers pulled away to even the regular season series.
