Seven different players scored on the afternoon as the Tigers notched their fourth shutout of the season. MCC has now scored at least seven goals in a game three times this year and have outscored the opposition by a total of 30-3. Sophomore goalkeeper Rafael Pereira (Lisbon, Portugal/Escola Secundaria Vergilio Ferreira) was not tested in net while picking up the victory.

Ryosuke scored the game's first goal, a strike in the 18th minute on an assist from Aguiar. Ryosuke has scored the team's first goal of the match three separate times this year. Freshman Antonio Savi (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Colegio PH) recorded his first goal of the season to put MCC up 2-0 just before halftime.

The Tigers poured it on in the second half as Ryosuke scored his second goal just 2:52 into the second frame on another assist from Aguiar. Pedro Oliveira (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Colegio Estadual) headed home a corner kick from Lasheras just under five minutes later to increase the lead to 4-0.

Aguiar, a mainstay in the Tiger lineup over the last two seasons, picked up his first-career goal in the 57th minute after receiving a pass from Ryosuke. Lasheras tacked on the team's sixth goal of the afternoon after bending in a corner kick from the far side.

Sophomore Sirleaf Wiah (Brooklyn Park, MN/Prairie Seeds) got in on the scoring in the 78th minute on an assist from Jose Izarra (Naguanagua, Venezuela/I.E. Juan XXIII) to make it 7-0. Thiago Fernandes (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Colegio Dom Oton Mota) was awarded a penalty kick in the 79th minute and after an initial save, buried the rebound to complete the scoring.

Of the team's 30 goals on the year, 19 have now come in the second half after logging six goals in the final 45 minutes on Saturday.

The Tigers head to Fort Dodge, IA to take on Iowa Central Community College at 4:00 PM on Sept. 14. The Tritons are ranked No. 18 in the latest NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer poll.
