The Marshalltown Community College volleyball team has signed Kierstin Rosipal of Hebron High School in Carrollton, TX to a National Letter of Intent for the 2017 season.

Rosipal, a primary libero, noted a number of factors that led to her decision to sign with the Tigers. "I really liked that Marshalltown was small enough where I could get used to being away from home. Most of the previous schools I visited, the facilities weren't as nice as here. I also liked that the coach and the players bond very well and the team is a family. The players are pushed to where they can better themselves here."

"Kierstin is the type of kid that we're looking to fill our program with," stated MCC head volleyball coach Justin Hoskins. "She's a high character person who understands the importance of academics and will be a positive person on our campus. She wants to be a part of building our volleyball program."

"I think making the adjustment to a competitive level of volleyball will be challenging but I'm going to make myself do it and keep striving," Rosipal added. "Just like in club volleyball, I was always trying to do the best I can no matter what day I walked in the gym and I'm going to do that here."

Rosipal, the daughter of Chris and Kristi, is a member of the Conquerors Volleyball Club in Argyle, TX.

"Kierstin will come in next year and compete for playing time in our back row," Hoskins continued. "I believe that she'll be able to step in and contribute for us right away. I'm looking forward to having her in a MCC uniform next year."

Rosipal expressed her anticipation to join the Tiger volleyball program. "I'm excited to start. I'm so happy to find a place that fits very well, though it is away from home, everything else checks off the list."
