Des Moines, IA—Freshman Barbara Araoz (Nequen, Argentina/Maria Auxiliadota) scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed six rebounds but the Marshalltown Community College Women's Basketball team fell on the road to Grand View JV, 89-40 on Tuesday night.
Araoz was the lone Tiger in double-figures as Accacia Huff (Peoria, IL/Central) and Shyannon Wolf (Tama, IA/Meskwaki) added eight points each. Huff grabbed 10 rebounds for MCC, the freshman's third-straight game with at least 10 rebounds. Wolf added seven rebounds for the Tigers.
The Tigers' next two games, Wednesday at Little Priest Tribal College, and Saturday at Graceland JV, have been cancelled by each opponent. Next up for MCC is a road game at William Penn JV at 6:00 PM on Jan. 19.
