Women's basketball adds Al'Venisha Doby for 2016-17

Al'Venisha Doby of Temple, GA, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Marshalltown Community College Women's Basketball team for the upcoming season.

Doby, a 5-6 shooting guard, averaged 10.3 points per game for Temple High School. Doby was named a First-Team All-Region selection as a senior and was named to the Atlanta City of Champions All Star Basketball Classic West County team.

MCC head coach Steve Garber noted Doby's scoring ability as a key addition to this year's roster. "Nisha is an additional scoring guard that can provide us with the scoring we need in the off-guard position. A team can never have enough scorers in the line-up and we hope Nisha can step up big and contribute in that category."

Doby joins Sarah Kavanh, Claudia Morente, Alyssa Roth, Ryan Roberts, Loraelei Siliga, and Kiana Weston in the 2016-17 signing class for the Tigers.
